Responsibilities Participate in and direct the delivery of patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. Ensure the highest quality services are delivered in a customer-service-friendly environment. Take part as a key member of the clinical team to support resident care and the facility mission to provide superior clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services. Maintain appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act. Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed; receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders. Implement and evaluate care plans; organize and coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments. Direct, oversee, and monitor the function and activities of subordinate staff; evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate action (discipline/training). Monitor infection control compliance; investigate and document accidents/incidents.
