Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment at a regional health center, requiring 1-2 years of experience and neonatal/pediatric exposure.

Details

• 217-bed regional health center, Respiratory Therapy department, 3rd floor
• Trauma Level VI facility
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Uses V-60/VOCSN/Hamilton ventilators, Vapotherm, and Airvo2 equipment
• Meditech EHR system
• Shift hours 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• NBRC CRT or RRT certification
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care required
• 1-2+ years of experience required
• Neonatal and pediatric experience required
• Iowa license required at time of consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, implementing treatments and therapies, and attending high-risk deliveries
• Involves implementing and managing invasive and non-invasive equipment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed
• Candidates must complete Iowa State Interagency Background Check (criminal and child abuse portions)
• Mandatory reporter certification required (child and adult)
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
• Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
