Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit with a primarily Medical/Surgical patient population
• Patient population includes observation, respiratory, general med/surg, palliative, end-of-life, hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetic, and surgical patients
• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required across all health system facilities if needed
• Epic EMR — experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding — two attempts are allowed; candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
• Prior Charge RN experience is preferred
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
