Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights located in an acute hospital setting. This position involves providing specialized medical-surgical care with telemetry monitoring, supporting a team-based care model, including Virtual Nursing. The role requires the ability to work night shifts and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Job Details: Certifications: BLS Education Requirements: Valid State License; AK RN license in hand for auto offer; must be able to complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing Location Requirements: Candidates must have a perm address at least 50 miles from the facility Years of Experience: 1 year minimum required, with a preference for candidates experienced in MS/Telemetry units Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week Float: Float rotation to similar units may be required Responsibilities include patient care for adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as cancer, lung, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder, as well as supporting procedures like colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, and wound care. The unit operates using a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model, including bedside RN, Virtual RN, and CNA, with responsibilities spanning admissions, discharges, charting, and patient education. Candidates must have at least 1 year of clinical experience, including charting system proficiency and patient ratio experience. Candidates must include references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) of recent clinical practice within the last 3 years and provide two references during the compliance process. RTO restrictions: Time off must be approved on an individual basis and all requests included during submittal; flexibility beyond contracted schedule and RTO may lead to contract termination. The assignment length options are 13 or 26 weeks, with start date ASAP, and scheduled to begin on 09/28/2026. Candidates must have experience working on medical-surgical units with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response, and oxygen therapy.
