Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Zurich is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. This role offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility to work both in-office and remotely in partnership with your manager to support business and customer needs.The Senior Financial Systems Analyst serves as a key liaison between Finance, Actuarial, business units, and IT, supporting the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of core financial systems. This role plays a critical part in driving process improvements, ensuring data integrity, and enabling effective financial reporting and decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support the design and implementation of enhancements to financial processes, systems, and reportingEnsure strong change management practices to support successful delivery and adoption of system and process changesServe as a primary point of contact for financial systems, bridging Finance, IT, and business stakeholdersPartner across Finance, Actuarial, and business teams to deliver accurate, timely, and reliable financial outputsLead or contribute to medium-complexity projects and key phases of larger initiativesDevelop deep knowledge of business processes and accounting principles; act as a subject matter expert for financial systems and data flowsSupport the delivery of timely, high-quality financial insights to inform business decisionsIdentify and implement process improvements using analytics and automation tools (e.g., RPA, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform)Mentor and support the development of team membersBasic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations areaORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations areaPreferred Qualifications:Insurance industry experienceStrong knowledge of general ledger processes and financial reporting toolsExperience with SAP, Analysis for Office or other enterprise financial systemsProject management experienceProfessional certifications (e.g., CPA, MBA, CPCU, CFA, CTP)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 toolsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience applying emerging technologies, including AI, in finance or systems environmentsYour pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases.
