About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years required License: Valid Registered Nurse License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, MAB or CPI accepted Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Description: Universal Care Registered Nurse needed. No Sunday shift, but rotating every other Saturday is required. Writes initial nursing histories and assesses patient conditions. Develops individual care plans for patients and evaluates their effectiveness. Demonstrates knowledge of specific care needs across various age populations. Coordinates the delivery of patient care for a group of patients. Directs and assigns patient care assignments to support personnel. Assigns tasks based on patient needs and skill level of the provider. Directs and supervises care provided by subordinates. Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes. Consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts nursing care as necessary. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage health care needs. Maintains documentation in patient records and adheres to regulatory standards. Evaluates the effectiveness of care plans through observation and communication. Modifies care plans as needed based on patient condition and interaction. Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Ensures equipment is clean and safe. Reports pertinent observations and patient reactions accurately. Assists physicians with patient exams and special procedures. Implements emergency measures for sudden adverse developments. Stimulates motivation in team members and recognizes their accomplishments. Participates in the orientation of new personnel. Behaves in a manner supportive of management. Delivers care that preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. Functions as relief Charge Nurse as assigned. Engages in continuous quality improvement activities. Enhances professional growth through education and knowledge sharing. Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients and families. Adheres to departmental policies, objectives, and safety standards. Participates on unit committees as assigned. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy. Explains procedures thoroughly and alleviates patient anxiety. Responds promptly to patient inquiries and requests. Prioritizes work and provides efficient service. Attends staff meetings and reviews minutes. Performs other related duties as assigned. May be required to float to other units as necessary. Identifies patients to initiate care.
