Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech supports diagnostic and interventional procedures within a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab. They assist with a variety of complex cardiac procedures and ensure the smooth functioning of the lab operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the cath lab equipment, ensuring all tools and devices are ready for scheduled procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures such as heart caths, CTO, high-risk PCI, ablations, device placements, and peripheral interventions.
• Monitor patient status and vital signs during procedures, providing appropriate interventions as needed.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control policies, and radiation safety standards.
• Document procedures accurately using Hemomerge and Meditech Expanse EMR systems.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Radiology Technologist or RCIS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
• Proven ability to assist with specialized procedures including PCI, CTO, ablations, and device implants.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work on-call shifts and adapt to varying case loads.
