Empire Merchants North acts as a marketing agent for the brands that we represent and is proud to employ the most knowledgeable and well-equipped sales force in Upstate New York.We are seeking a high energy, motivated Maintenance Technician in our Lyons, NY Distribution CenterEssential Position Results• Cleans facility grounds by collecting debris and disposing of waste. • Cleans inside gated delivery fleet parking lot by collecting and disposing of waste. • Ensures proper lighting environment by changing light bulbs, as necessary. • Maintains facility's interior and exterior appearance by painting surfaces as needed. • Assists in all types of building maintenance and light construction projects to support preventative maintenance and the production process. • Performs electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment and facility systems ranging from 120V to 480V, as appropriate to the position. • Follows established lockout/tagout procedures when servicing or assisting with the maintenance equipment. • May assist to help ensure consistent and efficient operation of conveyor system by regularly lubricating and cleaning based upon a pre-determined schedule. • Makes minor repairs to mechanical operations by utilizing hand tools and small power tools as required. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Use of PPE when needed or required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneTravel RequirementsOccasional travel to Buffalo Depot and Syracuse Depot as needed.Compensation & BenefitsEmpire Merchants North offers a competitive compensation package including: • Hourly Rate $22 per hour / Full time / Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM / Annual bonus potential • Paid Holidays, Health Plan options (medical, dental, life insurance, and other voluntary plans), Flexible Spending Account, 401K, PTO, vacation accrual, and more. • The company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience when making an offer.QualificationsEducation, Certifications and/or licenses: • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Valid CDL, clean MVR record as per our Company Fleet Safety Policy EXPERIENCE: • 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Prior experience working with electrical systems ranging from 120V to 480V required. • Experience with lockout/tagout procedures required.
