Principal Solutions Architect (Hybrid)

Piper Companies is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to support a leading medical device organization out of Rockville, MD . This is a senior-level position and will be responsible for shaping and delivering enterprise-wide product lifecycle management and digital thread capabilities. This role bridges business strategy and technology execution by designing scalable, integrated solutions that connect engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain systems across the organization. Preferably hybrid out of Rockville, MD Responsibilities of the Principal Solutions Architect: Lead architecture, design, and implementation of PLM solutions and digital thread capabilities. Define and manage integrations between PLM, ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems. Ensure data consistency, traceability, and flow across the product lifecycle. Oversee system performance, support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to internal teams. Qualifications of the Principal Solutions Architect: Experience with cloud-based PLM platforms and SaaS delivery models. Background in digital transformation initiatives or large-scale system implementations. Consulting or multi-industry experience delivering PLM solutions. Familiarity with data governance, validation processes, and compliance frameworks. Expertise in PLM configuration, workflow design, and data modeling. Knowledge of system integration approaches (APIs, middleware, messaging frameworks). Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript, SQL, XML). Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
