AGC, Global Commercial Legal - U.S. Market Access and Pricing
AbbVie
Associate General Counsel providing legal strategy and counsel to the Market Access organization on payor and trade access matters. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, antikickback statutes, False Claims Act, FDA regulations, and competition law within the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities
- Serve as business counsel for Market Access on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues related to payor and trade strategies
- Advise on Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and competition law matters
- Provide strategic counsel to senior management on product pricing and market access issues
- Prepare, review, and negotiate complex government, payor, and trade agreements
- Develop expertise in AbbVie's business operations and monitor regulatory changes affecting supported areas
Requirements
- J.D. from ABA-accredited law school, in good standing with state bar
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant legal experience
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of commercial payor and trade contracting landscapes
- Strong communication and independent problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing high-visibility projects in matrixed environments
