About the role Supervise the delivery of high-quality residential and shared living services to the individuals receiving care by delivering training and performing quality compliance standard checks for Community Strategies in Massachusetts. Support a culture that develops superior agency wide operations through a leadership role in Community Strategies. What you’ll do Training and Staff Development Deliver a variety of training programs and provide ongoing support to staff and managers across Community Strategies of Massachusetts. Trainings include New Employee Orientation, CPR, Proactive Approaches for Behavioral Challenges (PABC), and additional program-specific or individualized trainings. Provide feedback and coaching to staff as part of the training process. Support the professional development of staff and managers through mentorship, coaching, and skill development. This support may occur through onsite visits to residential programs or remote consultation. Apply and promote the core principles of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) by assisting staff and managers in effectively implementing PBS strategies within residential environments. Provide ongoing coaching and identify programs that may benefit from enhanced or in-depth PBS training. Instruct the Proactive Approaches for Behavioral Challenges (PABC) curriculum to employees across Community Strategies of Massachusetts. Ensure new employees receive training upon hire and maintain an appropriate recertification schedule. Deliver CPR and First Aid training to employees across Community Strategies in Massachusetts, ensuring staff receive certification upon hire and recertification as required. Provide Data Collection and Documentation training to staff, ensuring employees understand proper documentation procedures upon hire and offering additional support and training to programs requiring further assistance. Monitor and review data collected by staff regarding both employee performance and individuals served. Evaluate data accuracy and provide additional training to improve documentation and data collection practices. Learn and implement additional training curricula as required to meet evolving organizational needs, licensing requirements, and certification standards. During residential program visits, complete QUIC reports to support and reinforce Positive Behavior Support practices. Participate in routine meetings including Training Team Meetings, Leadership Meetings, Universal Support Meetings, and other organizational meetings. Actively contribute through collaboration, brainstorming, and problem-solving. Collect and analyze program and service data to identify trends within programs and across Community Strategies of Massachusetts. Use this data to inform training priorities and provide targeted support. Report significant incidents or concerns using the established On-Call hierarchy. Perform verbal and physical interventions when necessary to maintain the safety of individuals and staff. Travel to and work at various program locations as required. Promote high-quality residential services by supporting staff and managers in delivering care that includes personal care, routine household maintenance, community inclusion, and meal preparation. Ensure services are delivered through a team-based management approach that promotes high-quality outcomes for all individuals served. Represent CRJ and Community Strategies in meetings with stakeholders including funders, families, guardians, regulatory agencies, and review committees. Implement organizational policies and procedures in accordance with the regulations of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and consistent with CRJ agency practices. Research and utilize appropriate therapeutic approaches based on the individual needs of each person served. Carry out all responsibilities in a supportive, professional, and ethical manner while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding both individuals served and employees. Perform additional job-related duties, projects, or assignments as requested or directed. Quality Compliance Conduct onsite physical plant walkthroughs throughout the year at all Community Strategies of Massachusetts Residential and Shared Living sites to ensure compliance with DDS standards. Assist with internal Quality Compliance virtual audits to verify that funder requirements are met, with a focus on DDS Licensing and Certification documentation. Provide support related to Licensing and Certification requirements as needed. Responsibilities may include training staff on new documentation procedures, assisting with completion of required paperwork, conducting internal self-audits, and preparing programs for Operational Quality Enhancement (OQE) reviews Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities Experience in residential treatment and/or community-based group homes Experience using Applied Behavior Analysis Functional knowledge of a range of clinical systems and interventions Experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Knowledge of the treatment of clients with borderline personality disorder, sex abuse and other forensic issues Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write detailed and extensive reports Excellent expressive language skills, both in 1:1 and group settings. The ability to adjust a presentation to the receptive abilities of listeners. Excellent receptive language skills, including the ability to understand speakers of varying levels of competence and active listening Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Constructively work in an agency setting with supervisors, peers, managers and staff Successfully represent CRJ when interacting with funding sources, guardians, families and other stakeholders Social Perceptiveness - awareness of the behavior of others and understanding why they interact as they do. Ability to use appropriate conflict resolution techniques Maintain awareness of the importance of diversity Able to accept constructive criticism as a learning tool Able to work independently and remotely to provide necessary services Must pass a CORI and drivers check Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that can accommodate individuals safely to their destination. Ability to calmly and patiently manage threatening and assaultive situations Ability to pass First Aid, CPR, PABC and all training required by Residential Counselors Use of Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel - spreadsheets and graphing. Ability to use CRJ’s Electronic Medical Record System and other reporting systems Ability to use HCSIS effectively Use of the internet and electronic devices to improve work performance Able to keep written record of the various work produced as well as a schedule Ability to use various forms of electronic communication such as Microsoft Teams. Preferred Skills/Abilities Bilingual, bicultural, encouraged Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required or two years’ experience in Human Services At least two years’ related experience required.
