Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Clinical Lab Team as a Blood Bank Technician!

Job Description:

- Location: 2010 Brookwood Medical Center Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209
- Shift Hours: Evening Shift (10am - 8:30pm)
- 7 on/7 off starting Wednesdays through Tuesdays (10-hour shifts)
- Weekend days: 12-hour shifts from 6am-6:30pm
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32
- Openings: 1
- Role: Blood Bank Tech
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- Certifications: ACSP/AMT/ASCPi or Equivalent, BLS

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilize Quidel Ortho Vision and perform Gel and Tube Methods
- Work proficiently with EPIC and SoftBank LIS
- Adapt quickly to changes and manage emergency situations effectively
- Maintain high standards of quality while multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with Quidel Ortho Vision
- Proficiency in Gel and Tube Methods
- Knowledge of EPIC & SoftBank LIS

- Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with EPIC and SoftBank systems

- Personality Fit:
- Ability to multitask and learn quickly
- Adaptable to changes
- Excellent problem-solving skills in emergencies

Dress Code:

- Scrub Color: None, Caribbean Blue, business casual
- Unacceptable Attire: No jeans
