Patient Ratios: Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): US and Tech on staff in DS

Type of equipment: Cardiac monitors, ultrasound, EKG machine

Documentation system: Meditech

Scheduling requirements: 3-12 hr shifts. Would consider 4-10 hr shifts. One closing day per week (stay until unit closes). Shift starts @ 5, 5:30, 6, 6:30 or 7 depending on surgery schedule. It will usually be 5:30 am unless it is day to close. Closing days schedule is 7:00 am until when last patient leaves. Pays time and stay after 7:00pm on closing day.

Floating policy: Will only work in Day Surgery and Preop holding

Patient Experience requirements: Experience getting surgical patients ready for surgery and providing phase 2 recovery

Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS

Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: IV STARTS, MODERATE SEDATION, PREOP/HOLDING &PHASE 2 RECOVERY EXPERIENCE

Must have: IV START SKILLS, MODERATE SEDATION EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE GETTING SURGICAL PATIENTS READY FOR SURGERY AND PROVIDING PHASE 2 RECOVERY

Advanced skills needed: Procedures performed on unit: NERVE BLOCKS, ARTERIAL LINES, CENTRAL LINES, SWAN

Certifications Required: ACLS, PALS

Dress Code: (Required uniform) BLUE SCRUBS
