About the Role The S&P Global Ratings Commercial Team focuses on optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes with a broad set of clients in the U.S. The Head of Private Markets Relationship Management is a pivotal leadership position responsible for elevating the Private Markets Commercial team to achieve strategic objectives. This role seeks a seasoned professional with consultative sales skills within Private Credit, Fund Finance, and Financial Sponsors, who has a proven track record of managing and developing high‑performing relationship management teams, driving revenue growth, and building strong client relationships. Responsibilities Lead strategic initiatives in building and nurturing relationships with key clients and prospects across Private Markets. Develop and implement innovative business development strategies to drive growth and enhance S&P Global Ratings' market position. Collaborate with senior executives to provide commercial insights and drive strategic initiatives with a global mindset. Oversee revenue generation and market share expansion while ensuring compliance and exceeding targets. Utilize client insights and market trends to inform business development strategies and product development. Provide visionary leadership to the Private Markets Commercial team, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and cultivating future leaders. Drive performance improvement through effective sales metrics and continuous team development. Foster cross‑functional collaboration to leverage resources and expertise across the organization. Promote a culture of excellence and innovation within the team. Compensation & Benefits US candidates: anticipated compensation range is $124,000 to $250,000, based on performance, location, experience, skill set, and certifications. Qualifications 10+ years of consultative sales experience. Deep understanding of client needs and strategic solutions in Debt Capital Markets, Private Markets, and financial sponsors. Proven leadership experience managing relationship management teams and driving significant revenue growth. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; preference for advanced degrees or certifications. Strong client relationship management skills with ability to engage senior executives and stakeholders. Ability to lead change and drive innovation within a relationship management organization. Extensive coaching and mentoring experience, including developing future leaders. Analytical and problem‑solving skills with data‑driven decision making. Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong influencing and interpersonal skills. Additional Requirements US travel required.
