Responsibilities Develop Activities: Collaborate with the Active Living Program Director to design and implement activities suitable for residents transitioning from AL to Memory Care. Deliver, lead, or conduct program activities effectively. Coordinate at least one family activity per month. Present a professional demeanor that embodies service, goodwill, and genuine interest in residents’ needs. Familiarize yourself with residents in the community. Observe residents’ ability to perform daily ADLs and social skills, reporting potential issues or opportunities to appropriate staff. Encourage and motivate residents in all areas, assisting when necessary. Participate in all employer‑provided training. Assume duties of Activities staff in their absence. Maintain confidentiality of employer, team members, and residents. Follow written and verbal instructions. Accurately maintain all department‑related records. Effectively communicate ideas both verbally and in writing. Utilize active listening skills when engaging with residents and team members. Represent and promote activities and programs as a team member. Organize and manage information and time effectively. Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude in all interactions. Qualifications High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent preferred. One to two years of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Experience in social activity involvement (preferred). Senior living experience (preferred). Physical Requirements This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
