Start Date: 16 November 2026 (Base Period; four 12-month option years may follow)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, within standard duty hours of 0600–1800 (not to exceed 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week)
Care for the Airmen Who Carry the Mission
French Consulting is seeking Certified Athletic Trainers to join the Human Performance Optimization (HPO) team at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. You will evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate tactical athletes in the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing (93 AGOW), 820th Base Defense Group (820 BDG), 71st Rescue Squadron (71 RQS), and 23d Civil Engineering Squadron (23 CES), working alongside the 93 AGOW Physical Therapist, the 23d Wing Surgeon, and a collaborative medical team.
If you enjoy blending clinical care with performance training in a unit-embedded setting, this role puts your skills where they count most.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Care & Rehabilitation
Provide athletic training services, including on- and off-site emergency evaluation, triage, and treatment, in accordance with 23d Medical Group (23 MDG) standards and AFI 44-102.
Select, apply, and evaluate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as:
Restoring joint range of motion and muscle extensibility.
Exercises to improve strength, endurance, speed, power, balance, neuromuscular control, and cardio-respiratory fitness.
Sport-specific and functional exercises, agility training, and corrective movement.
Provide preventative taping, bracing, and orthotic use for injury prevention, treatment, and protection of the athlete.
Reevaluate targeted populations and coordinate fitness and medical readiness of assigned patients.
Screening & Injury Prevention
Screen patients for injury and illness risk factors, including musculoskeletal flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness, postural and ergonomic factors, and body composition.
Design and implement strength, conditioning, fitness, and nutrition programs customized to individual needs, with safety at the center.
Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, injury prevention, self-rehabilitation, and functional movement so they can take part in their own fitness prescriptions.
Team, Documentation & Operations
Document all patient encounters in mandated Government systems, following guidance and training provided.
Attend staff meetings with the squadron commander as needed to review medical readiness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate and recommend new techniques and equipment that enhance the sports medicine program.
Keep equipment and facilities organized, clean, inspected, and safe per manufacturer specifications, and report unserviceable equipment to your supervisor.
When authorized, travel within CONUS to provide injury prevention and therapeutic support during exercises, TDYs, and mission-related meetings.
Who You Are
A licensed, board-certified athletic trainer who is confident making sound clinical decisions in fast-moving, unit-embedded settings.
Passionate about helping military and elite athletes recover quickly and prevent the next injury.
A collaborative team member who works well under the direction of physical therapists and physicians.

Organized, dependable, and diligent about documentation and safety standards.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a health science–related discipline from an accredited institution.

At least one (1) year of that experience must be full-time within the last two (2) years, evaluating and treating musculoskeletal injuries in a clinic or training room environment.
