Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to provide excellent care to patients during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and be prepared to float to various areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care in various settings including Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum.
• Monitor patient conditions and provide support during labor and delivery processes.
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and assist in circulating in the operating room.
• Administer blood and blood products as well as manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
• Ensure proper use and management of special equipment related to high-risk antepartum, high-risk labor and delivery, and couplet care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in LDRP, Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Must hold an active compact nursing license.
• Certifications required: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Proficient in circulating, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), and starting IVs.

Staffing Ratio

Staff-to-patient ratio is 1:1-3, ensuring that each patient receives focused and attentive care.

Schedule

This position requires the ability to work night shifts with a 4x12-hour format.
