Pediatric CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated surgical team. This role requires a focus on pediatric cardiac surgeries within a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities extending to assisting in the main operating room during non-cardiovascular cases.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional nursing care in the Pediatric Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR).
• Participate in CVOR call rotations as required.
• Assist with various surgical instruments and techniques associated with pediatric cardiac procedures.
• Support main OR staff as needed when CV cases are not available or completed early.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications: BLS certification required; in-state licenses and required certifications must be current.
• Skills Required:
  • Basic instruments and laparoscopic instruments
  • Sternal saws and Midas drills
  • Basic power equipment
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with case cart, scrub, crash cart, Fontan procedures, and ventricular assist devices (VAD)
  • Knowledge of DaVinci surgical robotics and Censitrac inventory management system
  • Pediatric cardiac and trauma experience

Shift Details:

• Day shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:30)
• Options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts available

Holiday Requirements:

Must be available to work during 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Unit Information:

The role involves a primary focus on pediatric cardiovascular surgeries and collaboration with the main operating room team when necessary.
