HR Generalist

Position Overview We're looking for a Generalist/Manager of Human Resources to join our team. The role reports to an HR Manager and is based in our office in McLean, Virginia. Key Responsibilities Deliver core HR services, including strategic business planning and partnering, staffing, employee relations, coaching, and organizational development. Partner with business leaders to identify, develop, and drive key initiatives such as leadership development, talent and performance management, change management, workforce planning, employee and career development, rewards and recognition, and coaching. Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and colleagues inside and outside HR to innovate, enhance, align, and drive HR initiatives. Recommend, amend and improve HR systems, policies, and processes by staying abreast of marketplace best practices and trends to influence the business and HR agenda. Serve as a coach and advisor to employees and management; identify and help solve employee performance issues and work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues fairly. Drive employee engagement programs and initiatives. Lead learning and development initiatives and coordinate training needs with the Training and Development team. Provide candid and constructive feedback to business leaders about talent moves, gaps, promotions, and growth opportunities. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to fulfill staffing needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 5+ years of people management or HR experience. Prior experience in organizational development, HR administration, and business support. Willingness to perform hands‑on work. Knowledge of professional best practices and industry trends relevant to all HR functions. Understanding of technical HR areas. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Intermediate‑level computer skills with Microsoft business applications. Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills for researching, analyzing, developing, and implementing HR programs. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills at all levels; sensitivity to change and intercultural dynamics. HR certification preferred.
