Registered Nurse (RN) - DaysThe competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.ResponsibilitiesMeets expectations of the applicable One CHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.Addressees increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of treatment prescribed.Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureBachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.One year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.Current BLS certification required (AHA only).Current ACLS certification required (AHA only).Current PALS certification required (AHA only).Current TNCC certification required.RN License in the state of TX or compact.ScheduleThis position requires a 12-hour shift from 6 AM to 6 PM.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
