Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite Lead. Inspire. Make an Impact. We’re seeking an experienced Director of Nursing – Emergency Room to lead clinical and operational services within a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ER nursing leader who is passionate about patient care, team development, quality improvement, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily Emergency Department clinical and operational activities
- Ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care
- Lead and develop nursing staff and leadership teams
- Drive quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards
- Maintain readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections
- Lead emergency preparedness and disaster readiness programs
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and service-line initiatives
- Support Emergency Department growth, performance, and operational improvement
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing teams, and hospital leadership
- BSN required
- Active Florida RN license
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare management experience
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room/ED experience
- Strong nursing leadership and team-management skills
- Knowledge of hospital operations, regulatory compliance, and patient-care standards
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
- BLS/CPR – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- PALS – AHA
- CPI – within 30 days of hire
- TNCC – within 180 days of hire
- NIH Stroke Certification – within 60 days of hire
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field
- Previous Emergency Department leadership experience
- Experience with emergency preparedness and disaster management
