We are a nurturing, Christian preschool dedicated to providing high-quality learning experiences for young children. Our VPK program focuses on building a strong foundation in literacy, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified VPK Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment while implementing Florida VPK standards and curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Florida VPK standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress and maintain accurate records
- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Communicate effectively with parents and administrators regarding student progress
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety
- Collaborate with staff and participate in team meetings and professional development
Qualifications:
- Florida VPK Teacher Certification (required)
- CDA certification
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for early childhood education and child development
