Housekeeping - Supervisor

We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations at Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway. The role involves inspecting guest rooms and public spaces, training and onboarding staff, motivating employees, and ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards. Responsibilities Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well. Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness. Coordinate the day’s workflow and distribution of duties. Inspect guest rooms following the highest quality standards. Hold department employees accountable for the highest quality standards. Supervise and train staff to maintain cleanliness standards. Assist with inventory of linen and supplies. Assist in completing performance evaluations. Use judgment and experience to distribute work, assign rooms and duties to staff. Coordinate activities with Front Desk Supervisor and staff. Report maintenance needs accordingly. Ensure employees use and handle cleaning chemicals safely. Find coverage for callouts or when house counts increase. Perform other related duties as requested by Management. Qualifications 6 months experience in a similar Housekeeping position desirable. Engaging and caring personality. Time management skills. Ability to work on feet for an extended period. Effective communication skills. Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions. Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach corners on floors and high places; detect odors; navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.
