This role performs intermediate-level benefits activities including enrollment, vendor coordination, and employee inquiries, while contributing to process improvements and special projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans. Coordinate enrollment, changes, and terminations within benefits systems and vendor platforms. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits options, eligibility, and claims. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits. Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and support benefits implementation or renewals. Maintain accurate benefits records and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity. Assist in benefits communications, open enrollment processes, and wellness programs. Participate in benefits-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Education and Experience The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2 to 4 years of experience in employee benefits administration or related HR function. Experience working with benefits systems and vendor management preferred. Knowledge of compliance requirements such as ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and ACA. Certifications / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred. No specific criteria is required. Functional skills Intermediate knowledge of employee benefits plans and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms. Strong analytical and data management skills. Effective communication and customer service abilities. Problem-solving and vendor relationship management. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
