Position Overview

• Locum tenens Nurse Practitioner coverage in an emergency department setting
• Combined volume listed: 93 total encounters per day
• No procedures required

Coverage Model

• Physicians: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM day coverage plus a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift
• NP or PA: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM day coverage and 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM night coverage

Required Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner
• Active Tennessee RN license and Tennessee NP license
• Board certification through AANP or ANCC
• ACLS and PALS
• DEA with Tennessee address and required prescriptive authority
• Case logs for the past 2 years
• Preeclampsia and eclampsia CME required during initial application and every two years for reappointments

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 61 to 90 days
• MMR and Varicella vaccination series or titers
• Two step TB test within the past 12 months or Quantiferon Gold within the past 3 months
• If TB test is positive: chest X ray within the past 3 months
