Training Specialist

Sante Health System in Fresno, CA is hiring a full‑time Training Specialist to train new employees in front office scheduling, templating, encounter form handling, insurance billing, payment posting, collections, balancing, daily close on NextGen Practice Management software, and other office procedures. This role is key to improving staff competency across Business Services functions. Job Summary This position delivers comprehensive training and support to new and existing staff across Business Services functions, collaborating with leadership and site managers to provide ongoing education, perform audits, and support operational initiatives to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Medical business office experience preferred, including: Insurance billing Payment posting Coding and collections Working knowledge of Intergy or NextGen Practice Management preferred Front office experience preferred Candidates should also have exceptional people and communication skills, be highly skilled in multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. Training & Development Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and initial training for new employees Assess employee progress and identify additional training needs Develop, update, and maintain training materials, policies, and procedures Assist staff in developing and enhancing job‑related skills Operational Support Serve as a subject‑matter expert for NextGen workflows and business office services Provide ongoing training and support to staff and management Identify training gaps and communicate findings to leadership Participate in continuing education related to front office operations, billing, coding, posting, collections, and NextGen systems Practice Support & Implementation Support new practice implementations, including on‑site “go‑live” events (which may occur evenings and weekends) Anticipate training needs prior to go‑live and provide post‑implementation follow‑up Conduct on‑site visits for existing practices to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement General Responsibilities Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the role Adhere to all company policies and procedures Serve as a resource for staff questions and troubleshooting Perform additional duties as assigned in support of team and organizational goals Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and office technology High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and experience levels Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in decision‑making Physical Demands This position requires prolonged sitting with occasional bending, stooping, and stretching. Must have sufficient manual dexterity and coordination to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, telephone, copier, fax machine, and calculator.
