Hospitalist Physician
El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a highly skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our growing inpatient medicine team. This role provides comprehensive, high-quality care to hospitalized adult patients in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to evidence-based medicine, strong clinical outcomes, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult hospitalized patients
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
- Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge
- Perform timely patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and respond to changes in clinical status
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in California
- DEA license (required)
- Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience practicing as a Hospitalist
- Experience managing complex hospitalized adult patients
- Interest in quality improvement, clinical education, or program development
- Academic or research experience
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary inpatient care models
