Senior Congressional Support Analyst

Salary Commensurate with industry position, depending on experience. Location Arlington, VA Job Title Senior Congressional Support Analyst Travel May involve travel approximately 10% of the time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Gnostech is seeking a Senior Congressional Support Analyst to provide high-level support and analysis to the F-35 JPO community. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities and Qualifications will include but are not limited to: Support the drafting, development, and coordination and preparation of staffing papers and packages in response to Congressional Staff and Congressional inquiries to include: Coordination with the responsible stakeholder to draft the inquiry response; Analysis to determine if the response satisfies the inquiry's requirement; and Submission of executive level response to the F-35 Executive Leadership Team. Provide quick turn analysis on F-35 programmatic/financial impacts of Congressional bills. Attend Congressional hearings and briefings with the F-35 staff. Provide meeting minutes and record actions. Ensure actions are tracked to completion. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with congressional hearing procedures. Familiarity with reviewing and interpreting statutory and legislative language for operational impact. Education and/or Experience BA/BS degree and 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the description. AA/AS degree accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 5 years of experience performing the duties described in the duties and responsibilities of this position. GED/Diploma accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 10 years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this position. Desired Experience 5 years of experience working on or with Capital Hill, in a legislative affairs or policy role within a federal agency, or in a government relations role with a mix of government and defense or private sector experience.
