On-site Staff Accountant: Inventory & GL Reporting Specialist

Position Overview Full-time, on-site role for a Staff Accountant. This position will primarily be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, the preparation and maintenance of general ledger account reconciliations and assistance with financial reporting tasks. This position will also play a key role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of the Company’s accounting records and files. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Maintenance of inventory production for all lines of business. Assistance in the reconciliation of physical inventory variances. Maintenance of detailed inventory valuation reports, by location and inventory type. Maintenance of capital expenditure reporting and documentation in order to track capital expenditure approvals and overall status. Preparation of credit memos related to customer invoices; verification of supporting documentation and accurate account adjustments. Review and approval of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper authorizations, and timely processing. Preparation of employee vacation accrual balances. General ledger account reconciliations, as needed. Assistance in monthly closing process (preparation of adjusting journal entries and reconciliation of detail schedules, as needed) Assistance in maintenance and preparation of reporting for internal and external auditors. Ad-hoc reports and projects at the direction of Assistant Controller, Controller and/or Vice President. Qualifications Education/Experience 1-3 years of experience required Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required Knowledge/Skill Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to analyze and resolve problems Must be able to work under time constraints and ensure deadlines are met Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel) required Experience with Viewpoint & SAP - plus Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to communicate with others via Microsoft Teams and in person. Able to utilize a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.
