Responsibilities Manage the recruitment cycle, including search strategy, sourcing, pre‑screening, interviewing, presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, reference checks, and negotiating offers. Develop and update job descriptions and specifications. Prepare, post and manage roles in our applicant tracking system and on job boards. Act as a subject‑matter expert in creative sourcing strategies. Identify and assess a diverse candidate pool for open positions through employee referrals, databases, social media, alumni and other sources. Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills and experience. Implement HR recruiting best practices. Provide regular update reports to hiring managers and HR Business Partners. Build influential candidate relationships during selection; ensure a positive candidate experience for both selected and non‑selected candidates. Promote Skanska’s core values and reputation as a best place to work. Qualifications 2+ years proven recruiting experience in the AEC industry (in‑house or agency). BA / BS degree or equivalent professional experience. Strong interviewing skills across multiple formats. Hands‑on experience with sourcing, phone interviewing and reference checking. Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate relationship management systems (CRM). Experience tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and using data to improve recruitment. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and decision makers. Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation skills and the ability to make cold calls to prospective candidates. Ability to work independently with regionally dispersed teams. Experience hiring talent within the construction/engineering industry using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter. Flexibility to shift recruitment priorities according to changing business needs.
