This critical role in our growing Center practice includes reviewing individual and trust returns, working with clients and staff to resolve open items and questions and performing technical tax work.Location: Providence, RI Andover, MA or Boston, MA Required Years of Experience: 8 or more years Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MST preferredRequired Licensure: Active CPA license, Enrolled Agent (EA) credential, or JD with an active license requiredTravel: Occasional travel to other New England based KLR offices Relocation : No Job Industry: Public AccountingDepartment: TaxHours : Minimum of 24 per week January through April 2027Job Responsibilities:Provide direction and feedback to staff on engagement deliverables (such as tax returns, work papers, etc.); complete technical reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met.Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling client responsibilities and communication.Review simple to complex tax returns for individuals and trustsService clients directly, as necessary to complete returnsJob Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in AccountingMaster's degree in Taxation or related field preferredActive CPA license, Enrolled Agent (EA) credential, or JD with a valid law license requiredCurrent/valid PTIN account8+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting or related field, 3+ years in a managerial roleDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyDemonstrated supervisory ability, strong operational and project management skillsProficient use of applicable technology and related tax softwareWe are looking for candidates to work seasonal hours of at least 24 hours per week between January and April, utilizing a flexible work arrangement.
