About the Optician / Frame Stylist Position 

We are looking for a personable, friendly, and energetic person to join our team as an optician. You will need to be comfortable with sales ranging from $200-$2000. Our practice is team oriented and an excellent place to develop your career and professional skills.  

We provide training for our Frame Stylists in optical sales and, more specifically, on the products that we carry to ensure that you can provide each patient with the perfect match.  

About the Practice 

Monmouth Family Eye Care is a new privately owned optometry practice in Marlboro, NJ. You will be working with a fantastic optometric team. We treat patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and everything in between! 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new practice from the beginning and help create an exceptional patient experience. From walking in the door to sitting in the exam chair to seeing you for all of their optical needs, we strive to create the ideal patient experience for everyone. 

Optician / Frame Stylist Roles and Responsibilities 

• Optical Sales:  Ability to sell premium quality glasses and contact lenses 
• Stocking and Inventory 
• Ordering and checking in from the lab 
• Troubleshooting 
• Assisting in Frame Selection 
• Skilled in fitting, adjustment, and dispensing glasses 
• Verify insurances and interpret benefits from a large variety of medical and vision plans 
• Customer Education 
• Have the willingness and flexibility to learn and adapt in a variety of situations 
• Must have the desire and investment in the practice to help with promotion and growth 

Candidate requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• At least 3 years of experience in the optical field 
• State optical license is highly recommended 
• Familiarity working with many vision plans including Eyemed, Spectera, and Davis Vision, VSP, etc. 
• Great interpersonal and customer service skills 
• The availability to work full time including Saturdays 
• The passion to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice 

Compensation depends on experience and skill level.
