Welders and Fitters play a crucial role in manufacturing assembly and custom fabrication projects within an indoor workshop environment. Operating as individual contributors or as part of small specialized teams, they utilize standard fabrication equipment to ensure precision and quality in their work. This position demands strong skills in welding, fitting, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication to meet safety and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fitting tasks in manufacturing and custom fabrication projects
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide assembly and fabrication
- Handle materials efficiently for production processes
- Assemble metal components accurately and safely
- Operate standard fabrication equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in welding and fitting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills
- Experience with metal fabrication processes
- Commitment to safety standards adherence
