Dental Assistant (Expanded Function)

Expanded Function Dental Duties
Conduct expanded function dental duties such as intra-oral procedures, restorations, fabricating crowns/bridges, matrix bands, polishing, application of fluoride/sealants, taking impressions/bite registrations, and fabrication of dental appliances.
Process intra-oral and extra-oral conventional/digital dental radiographs in accordance with accepted radiation safety standards.
Educate patients on post-treatment care.
Provide chair side dental assistance during general dentistry and specialty related dental procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry.
Prepare patient for procedure by arranging instruments, materials, and medications, and measuring vital signs.
Carry out administrative duties such as maintaining dental health records, scheduling patient appointments, and greeting patients.
