Job Overview

A leading company in the Aerospace and Defense industry is seeking an Inventory Management Technician A to support stockroom operations, inventory control, and material allocation at its facility in Palm Bay, Florida.

The selected candidate will organize and maintain stockroom inventory, process incoming and outgoing materials, verify inventory accuracy, and support internal and external customers. This is an entry-level opportunity suited for candidates with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 12+ Months Contract-to-Hire opportunity offering $20 per hour on the first shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain stockroom inventory in accordance with established company procedures.
• Receive, issue, and distribute inventory to internal and external customers.
• Count and verify stockroom inventory to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Follow established inventory control procedures and company guidelines.
• Maintain attention to detail when handling, tracking, and allocating materials.
• Work independently and collaboratively with team members to meet operational requirements.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders regarding inventory and material needs.
• Use applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams for routine work-related communication.
• Support additional work areas as needed to meet business requirements.
• Complete routine tasks under close supervision and follow detailed instructions.
• Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies or operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience; stockroom or inventory control experience is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to support different work areas based on business needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 9 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to perform stockroom and inventory-related tasks in an active work environment.

Work Schedule and Location

• Location: Palm Bay, Florida.
• Shift: First shift.
• Contract Duration: 12+ months, with the opportunity for contract-to-hire.
• Pay Rate: $20 per hour.
• Openings: Multiple positions available.
• Security Clearance: Not required.
