Financial Management Analyst

Job Summary:
The Business / Financial Management Analyst plays a critical role in supporting budget planning, financial execution analysis, portfolio management, and performance reporting. This position provides analytical insights to leadership by evaluating financial data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to optimize resource allocation and enhance decision-making processes. Responsibilities:
- Analyze budget execution, obligations, expenditures, and overall financial performance data.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and financial metrics to support program and leadership reviews.
- Support Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) budget formulation and execution processes.
- Perform cost analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and trend analysis.
- Consolidate and validate financial data from multiple sources.
- Assist in the development of business process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Support financial data governance and ensure adherence to reporting standards.
- Prepare briefing materials and executive decision-support products.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define reporting requirements and metrics.
- Support strategic planning and portfolio performance assessments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or business analytics.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience producing executive-level reports and presentations.
- Knowledge of Federal budgeting and financial management concepts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, or Federal financial programs.
- Knowledge of RDT&E funding and execution processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
- Experience supporting portfolio management and performance measurement activities.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
