Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8 (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: State license required Certifications: ARRT N, ARRT R, BLS, NMTCB Must-Have: - Strong skills and experience in nuclear medicine techniques. - Experience in performing nuclear stress tests, HIDA scans, VQ scans, biliary studies, lymph injections, and ameloid studies. - Experience using GE equipment, SPEC CTG850.

Description: This position includes a Monday to Friday block schedule for 40 hours per week, with a potential option for 4x10 shifts. The candidate will conduct nuclear medicine procedures, including outpatient and inpatient stress tests. The unit has a high scan load and requires the ability to perform specialized studies. The role involves working with adults and geriatric patients. Every other weekend on-call coverage is required, with flexibility in scheduling. On-call duties will include weekday and weekend coverage within the prescribed time frames. The technologist must be comfortable floating to other units as needed. Complying with all safety protocols and handling of radioactive materials is essential for this position. Candidates will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and require competent patient interaction skills. Preferred experience includes charge experience and familiarity with charting systems.
