ACCOUNTING CLERK

Position Summary:

The Accounting Clerk supports the daily operations of the Accounting Department by assisting with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other general accounting functions. This position works closely with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
• Support the collection of customer payments and account follow-up activities
• Submit customer claims through supplier and customer portals
• Assist with supplier reconciliations, including promotions, billbacks, and payments
• Communicate with Brand and Marketing teams regarding supplier allowances and supporting documentation
• Assist with state and federal compliance reporting requirements
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Identify and communicate accounting issues and process improvement opportunities to accounting management
• Assist with departmental projects and perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of general accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement
