Overview Department : Annual Giving Salary : Commensurate with Experience/Education Description : Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff, student workers, programs or processes. Responsibilities Plan and develop procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program. Oversee program expenditures and ensure adherence to budget. Provide guidance to subordinate staff and evaluate performance. Prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation. Review reports of budgets and activities. Prepare ad hoc reports as needed. Administer grants and grant-related communications, scholarships and other operations. Develop, implement and maintain appropriate policies and procedures. May serve as property custodian for the department. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education : Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience : No experience required. Project Management & Key Duties A Project Manager for the Engagement Communications and Annual Giving area is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering communication-related projects on time, within budget, and according to organizational goals. This role is responsible for convening kickoff meetings, generating project timelines, tracking progress against deadlines and providing status reports. Project Planning and Management Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics. Monitor project progress, document progress, and adjust plans as needed. Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies. Become proficient in our project management software and provide suggestions and solutions. Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status updates. Gather requirements and feedback from clients, executives, and team members. Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Other Submit credit card and other expenditures for reimbursement. Prepare project status reports for management. Analyze results and recommend improvements for future projects.
