Senior Production Manager

Hi, we're Speks, a New York based product design company creating premium sensory products for teens and adults. We sell globally across wholesale, retail, and DTC, and we're growing fast. We're hiring a Senior Production Manager to sit at the center of our production operation, owning the translation of requirements from sales, key accounts, and global distributors into clear, actionable plans for our factories, and making sure everything lands on time. This is an ownership-heavy role that requires deep familiarity with hard goods manufacturing, clear communication, strong organization, and comfort navigating a fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders. This is a full-time role based in Midtown Manhattan. What you'll own Production management Manage production of hard goods across factories and SKUs, keeping schedules current and accurate Understand the realities of physical product manufacturing, tooling, sampling, and production lead times, and use that knowledge to manage timelines and potential delays before they happen Report to the Director of Production to flag risks, track progress, and **escalate when things are off track** Work with the ops team to align on inventory needs and replenishment timing Customer requirements Own the intake and translation of production requirements from key retail accounts including Target and Walmart Manage requirements for global distributors and domestic stock orders Work with the sales team to capture account-specific needs, timelines, and packaging requirements Ensure nothing gets lost between what's sold and what ships Factory communication Serve as the primary point of contact with factories, primarily in China Communicate hard goods manufacturing requirements clearly, including specs, tolerances, materials, and construction details Follow up to make sure requirements are understood and met at the factory level Track production status and push for timely updates Cross-functional coordination Work closely with the design team to ensure factory specs and samples reflect current product intent Catch spec or material issues early and help resolve them before they affect production Collaborate with ops and sales to stay aligned on demand, timelines, and delivery expectations What we're looking for 7+ years in hard goods production, operations, or supply chain within consumer products, including 3+ years at the production management level Experience managing production for major retail accounts like Target or Walmart, including account-specific compliance and timing requirements Category experience in hard goods such as toys and games, housewares, consumer electronics, stationery, or sporting goods, ideally with products involving injection molding, plastics, or multi-component assembly.
