Data Entry Clerk Syosset, NY (Onsite) 5+Month Contract Potential Temp-to-Perm

We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk to support daily logistics operations. This position is responsible for entering and maintaining freight information, ensuring data accuracy, and communicating with local warehouse management. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into the Ryder Logistics freight management system.
• Communicate daily with local warehouse management.
• Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
• Compile, verify the accuracy of, and sort paper-based data.
• Transfer paper-based data into electronic format using Microsoft Excel.
• Review entered data for deficiencies or errors and correct any incompatibilities.
• Maintain logbooks of entered and updated data.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing related administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous data entry or administrative experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to compile, verify, and organise information efficiently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with warehouse management.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Available to start immediately.
