About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Sam W. Ho Center for Health Care Transformation, a new multidisciplinary center focused on advancing health care innovation, improving population health, and achieving health justice. The successful candidate will work closely with the Dean, Center leadership, and faculty to shape and advance the Center's research, education, and policy agenda. This role involves providing strategic, operational, and organizational leadership to support the Center's launch, development, and long-term sustainability. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading strategic planning, directing operations and financial management, advancing funding and external partnerships, and driving collaboration to ensure the success of the Center's initiatives. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have an MD and/or PhD in a health science discipline, with at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in academic medicine, health care, research administration, or a related field. The role requires a proven track record in leading academic research centers, major healthcare initiatives, or senior healthcare industry leadership. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate strategic vision into action, manage complex operations, and engage with scientific, research, and educational priorities. Experience in securing external funding, leading multidisciplinary collaborations, and a background in health care delivery, policy, or related fields is highly desirable. The Executive Director will also be expected to be a strong communicator, with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, and to serve as a representative for the Center, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
