Financial Counselor

Managing a call queue, the full-time Financial Counselor will support patients by initiating financial assistance applications, handling self-pay accounts, and addressing billing inquiries in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Initiate financial assistance applications and set up payment arrangements for patients Process payments and provide account status updates to patients and insurance companies Detect and direct billing or coding issues to the appropriate department for resolution Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum of three years' experience in a healthcare setting focused on collections or financial counseling Experience with physician/hospital collection or insurance verification Proficiency in mathematical calculations and analysis techniques Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Virtual Vocations Inc
