Account Executive, Venue

The Venue Account Executive We are looking for a strategic sales professional to drive growth in a high‑impact category. The Venue Account Executive is responsible for hitting monthly sales goals by engaging with wedding professionals in our Venue and Catering categories across the United States. Using a high‑volume cold‑calling approach and a consultative sales process, you will build rapport with business owners to advise them on industry trends and how to scale their brands through The Knot and WeddingWire’s premium advertising platforms. Because this role requires navigating a longer, more complex sales cycle, we expect a dedicated 40‑hour‑per‑week commitment during our standard business hours of 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST. Consistent presence is the key to managing a successful pipeline. Responsibilities Execute high‑volume outreach: conduct high‑volume sales calls to identify and engage decision‑makers. Manage complex pipelines: navigate a diverse and longer sales process from initial prospect identification to close. Consultative value building: build and maintain strong phone rapport to uncover prospect needs and deliver clear, on‑point presentations that highlight our platforms’ ROI. Drive revenue: consistently meet and exceed monthly revenue quotas by closing new business deals. Persistence & negotiation: proactively follow up with potential clients to negotiate contracts and maximize profit margins. Strategic time management: organize workday efficiently, ensuring all interactions and opportunities are tracked and updated in Salesforce. Team collaboration: work independently to hit personal targets while remaining a collaborative contributor to the broader team’s success. Qualifications B2B experience: at least 2 years of full‑cycle B2B sales (inside phone sales strongly preferred). Analytical mindset: strong skills in identifying trends, understanding challenges, and proposing data‑backed solutions. Persuasive communication: confident and enthusiastic when presenting to decision‑makers, backed by excellent verbal and written skills. Problem‑solving prowess: proven ability to deliver client‑focused solutions and thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. Organizational mastery: ability to work independently and manage a structured 40‑hour work week effectively. Tech savvy: experience with Salesforce.com or another CRM system. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Work Model This role is fully remote and not tied to any specific office location. While there are no regular in‑office requirements, we encourage remote team members to gather intentionally for key company and team events to stay connected and engaged. Benefits Competitive base salary of $50,000–$60,000 and variable compensation. Total rewards include health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave, and performance bonuses.
