Job Title: Assembly Worker Job Description

The Assembly Worker operates and maintains production equipment in a manufacturing plant where propellants are produced and assembled. This role focuses on safely assembling, packaging, and moving materials while following detailed work instructions and quality standards. The position requires strict adherence to safety and evacuation procedures, active participation in continuous improvement, and consistent collaboration with team members to meet departmental and company goals.

• Follow established building evacuation procedures and safely egress buildings without assistance when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Operate, set up, adjust, and maintain production and assembly equipment according to Work Instructions.
• Monitor product quality, remain attentive to quality requirements, and promptly report any quality discrepancies to a supervisor.
• Move, unload, and package materials as needed to support production and shipping activities.
• Accurately complete material movement records to document inventory and production flow.
• Maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts when specified and use them to support process control and quality.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of unnecessary materials to support safety and efficiency.
• Maintain an adequate supply of parts and materials at the workstation to prevent production delays.
• Participate in equipment upgrades and the installation of new equipment and procedures.
• Package finished goods according to specifications and work instructions.
• Work toward and strive to obtain completed training status in all assigned areas and tasks.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement activities to enhance processes, quality, and efficiency.
• Cooperate and collaborate with fellow employees at all levels to achieve team and company objectives.
• Participate in solving problems in the assigned work area by making suggestions and supporting the implementation of approved changes.
• Perform the tasks and work hours necessary to accomplish departmental and company goals.

• Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or assembly line environment.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks.
• Ability to use power tools safely and effectively for production and assembly work.
• Experience with general labor tasks such as moving, unloading, and packaging materials.
• Ability to perform mechanical and electrical assembly following detailed work instructions.
• Ability to operate, set up, and adjust production equipment according to written procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality requirements.
• Ability to accurately complete material movement records and maintain required documentation.
• Capability to maintain SPC charts when specified and use them as part of process control.
• Ability to follow safety and building evacuation procedures without assistance.
• Willingness and ability to work the hours necessary to meet departmental and company goals.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to cooperate with fellow employees at all levels.

This role is based in an indoor manufacturing plant where propellants are manufactured and assembled. While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work around moving mechanical parts and explosives, and you must consistently follow all safety procedures. The noise level is usually moderate, and you will work in close proximity to production equipment and assembly lines. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established work instructions and evacuation procedures.

This is a Contract position based out of Moses Lake, WA.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Moses Lake,WA.
