Role summary / purpose

This position serves as a subject matter expert in the use, administration, and optimization of the Learning Management System for technical training, progression, and continuing education programs. The role requires demonstrated proficiency using Cornerstone LMS, including the ability to configure, maintain, validate, troubleshoot, and support LMS functionality to ensure training programs are delivered accurately, consistently, and in alignment with business and compliance requirements. As the LMS SME, this position partners with internal stakeholders to provide guidance, reporting, documentation, and system support that enables effective training execution and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Serves as the LMS super user for enterprise-wide training (60%)
• Creates, maintains and executes a schedule of LMS configuration changes, validation and maintenance tasks to ensure seamless delivery of courses and programs
• Performs quality assurance testing on all pre and post application implementations
• Provides LMS technical support and advanced troubleshooting
• Utilizes effective communication to provide LMS leadership (20%)
• Enhances learning by effectively communicating and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal and standard use of LMS tools
• Develops and maintains current documentation for the LMS portfolio and leads LMS change initiatives
• Provides LMS permissions and training to LMS Administrators
• Acts as a liaison between training groups
• Develops custom reports and analytics (10%)
• Creates custom reports for stakeholders monitoring and evaluating course effectiveness, including completion rates, test score trends, and participants' feedback
• Provides general training and program support (10%)
• Supports, develops, and maintains SharePoint sites and Portal pages that support training and department access points
• Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objectives of the department

Requirements - education & experience

• Associate's Degree
• Five (5) years of experience or equivalent job-related experience
• Experience utilizing a Learning Management System in an administrative capacity
• Demonstrated ability to identify users' needs, analyze and logically organize and recommend a solution
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple, complex projects with strong project management and follow-up skills
• Strong ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing project tasks and deliverables
• Demonstrated human relations skills, including influencing and listening skills, to deal effectively with all levels of management and employees

Required skills

• Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented focus
• Customer service oriented and ability to work in a team environment
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Self-directed
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail

Nice-to-have / preferred skills

• Proficient utilizing e-learning software (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Photoshop, Camtasia, etc.)
• E-learning design and development methods
• Ability to recognize the need for new or different systems, programs, or applications and selection of appropriate alternatives to solve problems
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate small to medium groups for workshops and capturing of critical information
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and presentations

Employment details - type, location, hours

Two roles available in Charlotte or Raleigh locations. One assignment will be for 1 year and one will be for 2 years. Office setting.
