IT Specialist Duties
The duties and responsibilities for an IT Specialist GS-2210-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Developing and maintaining enterprise information technology strategies, target architectures, and modernization roadmaps that define the future state of EOIR's applications, data environments, cloud services, infrastructure, and cybersecurity capabilities.
- Conducting technical analysis of enterprise systems, platforms, and architectures to identify gaps, interoperability issues, performance limitations, security weaknesses, and opportunities for modernization and optimization.
- Developing technical documentation including architecture diagrams, system dependency models, capability maps, and modernization transition plans.
- Analyzing complex business and mission requirements and translates them into technical architecture recommendations, system capabilities, and solution requirements supporting enterprise modernization efforts.
- Researching and applying Federal IT policies, NIST standards, Zero Trust architecture principles, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and modernization alignment.
