A/R Medical Biller/Follow-up Specialist

Job Description

Our client, a rapidly expanding Accounts Receivables management company specializing in healthcare financial services, is hiring an A/R Follow-Up Medical Biller . In this role, you will provide a detailed and efficient follow-up process on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement and resolution. The role involves verifying claim statuses, identifying delays or issues, and proactively resolving claim bottlenecks while maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

Log onto insurance carrier websites to retrieve claim information.
Contact insurance carriers by phone to verify claim status and gather updates.
Take comprehensive notes during each interaction and document all call details utilizing the company's in-house system.
Identify issues that have stalled claims and take corrective actions to resolve them.
Verify and update member demographic information as needed to facilitate claim processing.
Collaborate with team members to improve follow-up processes and share relevant information for claim resolution.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable follow-up within the healthcare or medical billing field.
Familiarity with insurance carriers and their online portals.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues delaying claim reimbursement.
Experience with EPIC systems is preferred.
Comfortable with a hybrid work environment, requiring one day per week onsite attendance.
Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures and insurance processes is advantageous.
