Packing Associate 

Midway Staffing is currently seeking reliable and detail-oriented Packing Associates to join a growing food production team in Spartanburg, SC. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Location: Spartanburg, SC
Schedule:
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Please note that both shifts may require overtime
Pay Rate: $14.00/hour plus attendance incentive

Must be comfortable working in a very hot environment, as the facility manufactures bread and production areas can become extremely warm.

Duties:
• Operate and maintain packaging equipment while inspecting and selecting products.
• Clean and organize the packaging area to maintain food safety standards.
• Check the quality of products throughout the packaging process.
• Load product racks onto the appropriate packing lines.
• Place finished products on conveyor belts, slicers, or bagging machines.
• Inspect and select finished products based on quality standards.
• Clean trays, molds, and pans and prepare them for reuse.
• Pack products into labeled boxes or plastic trays.
• Stack packaged products according to company specifications.
• Transport stacked products to wrapping machines and designated shipping areas.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
• Ability to work in a food production and manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• Ability to properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to operate production and packaging machinery.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Commitment to maintaining food safety and quality standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
