Details Work in the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) of a hospital environment Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-op neurosurgical needs, as well as nerve and muscle diseases Requires interfacing between neurological function and other vital organ systems Uses Epic EMR Rotating 7A/7P shifts, working 12-hour shifts totaling 36 or 48 hours per week Weekend requirement of 3 out of every 6 weekends On-call requirement of 2 shifts per 6-week schedule Floating required to areas of like skill set such as ICU or IMC Requirements Active RN license (MD or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS certification required ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course preferred Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required Epic EMR experience required Comparable facility size experience required (500 bed facility experience for this assignment) Additional Information Provide specialized post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month Holiday coverage required as needed Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Strong candidates preferred given the complexity and prestige of this main hospital assignment American Traveler Job ID P-749734.
